Setting Up Your Booster

Just like all of our boosters, the Super Vodacom 1000 Voice & All 3G Data amplifier is quite easy to set up. It is basically a plug and play device. The package comes with a Signal  Booster, Outdoor and Indoor antenna, 10 metre coax cable, a power supply and an easy to use instruction manual.

If you are in an extremely weak signal location, you will need to buy a stronger unit along with a yagi or parabolic antenna with the Super Vodacom 1000 or a step or two higher.  Just email or give us a call so that we can better recommend. Firstly you will need to figure out an ideal position on top of the roof where you can locate at least one or two bars of signal, it doesn’t have to be full bars with our repeaters as 1-2 bars is enough for us to amplify and do the magic.  It is wise to note however that a yagi or parabolic antenna is recommended if the signal around the property is intermittent & erratic and keeps dropping below 2 or 1 bar on a regular basis while you’re testing the signal prior to purchase.

Once you have found the right location for the outdoor antenna & if possible facing it towards the general direction of the network mast. Do not point directly at this mast as it may cause interference and overload the booster, it’s always good to point the antenna slightly towards the right or left.

Next, connect one end of the coax cable to the external antenna and the other end to the outdoor port of the booster. The position of the booster is entirely up to you; we however recommend it should be secured inside the building with a minimum distance of 10 metre away from the outdoor antenna.

Once this is done, you then connect the indoor antenna to the mobile port on the Booster securely. Plug in the power supply cord and switch your booster on. You should begin to notice an increase in the bars on your mobile phone right away.
